About Me

ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Ella and I am passionate about making our equine athletes feel their best. Since I was 9 I've wanted to be an equine physiotherapist. I am currently in college working towards vet school and decided taking some bodyworking courses would be fun! I am certified in equine kinesiology taping and am committed to learning about horses muscles and joints and the part those structures play in function and effective movement. I'm super excited to work on your equine athlete!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does kinesiology tape do?

Kinesiology tape is a stretchy, athletic tape that sticks to your horses hair, lifting the skin to improve muscle function. It stimulates mechanoreceptors to reduce pain and decompresses the skin and soft tissue to increase blood and lymph flow, decreasiing inflammation. It can also be placed over or around joints to provide support.

What is BEMER therapy?

The BEMER blanket is a lightweight therapy blanket used for vascular treatment of equine athletes. BEMER uses a patented wavelength that increases microcirculation, effectively bringing blood to painful areas and naturally treating and healing the body.

Why is muscle attentiveness important?

Muscle attentiveness improves strength of contraction and quality of movement. This means that the muscle in question will become stronger the more your equine athlete pays attention to it and the movement will be more calculated, resulting in tighter turns and faster times.

Why should horses be stretched?

Stretching reduces the risk of muscles shortening or tightening. With a stretching session, your horses muscles have the ability to extend and contract faster and more comfortably.
